Chief Executive’s Annual Report 2025–2026: Overview
The Chief Executive’s Annual Report 2025–2026 reflects on a year of sustained progress across British Powerlifting. It outlines how the organisation has strengthened communication, improved member engagement and developed a more collaborative way of working across the Board, Home Nations, sub-committees and volunteer teams.
The report recognises the contribution of the people who deliver the sport at every level. This includes athletes, coaches, referees, promoters, technical officials, safeguarding and anti-doping volunteers, media teams and the many others who support competitions, clubs and international teams.
It also celebrates a strong year of national and international performance, including British Championship delivery, Home Nation development and major team results at World and European level.
Alongside competition and performance, the report explains the work taking place to strengthen governance, coaching standards, safeguarding, clean sport, volunteer support, partnerships and long-term planning. It also sets out the need to develop selected paid roles where the scale of responsibility can no longer be sustained by volunteers alone.
The report closes by looking ahead to the next stage of British Powerlifting’s development, with a focus on stronger clubs, improved pathways, sustainable partnerships and a clear long-term direction for the organisation.
