Submit your total

SBD British Open Championships · put your name forward for a place, about two minutes · no payment now

🏅 You've done the hard part. You can only put your name forward once you've hit the qualifying total at an IPF-sanctioned competition — so submitting this is something you've earned. We verify it against the official results, then you'll get an offer if you earn a place. We'll explain every step by email.
You

As it appears on your British Powerlifting membership, so we can match you up.

Where your personal entry link and any offer will go.

Just the digits on your Sport:80 account — no letters or prefix.

Matches you to your membership record and confirms which age category you can enter.

How we check your membership. If your membership number and date of birth match a record on our system, we'll email the address on that record asking you to confirm it's you — one click, and you're verified. If they don't match (a typo, a recent renewal we haven't synced yet), your entry still goes in; our team just checks it by hand, which takes a little longer.

The Special Olympics classes are the Special Olympics flight — choose one only if you're a Special Olympics athlete, whatever your age.

Special Olympics flight. You've chosen a Special Olympics class. These classes have no qualifying total to hit — your place is confirmed by British Powerlifting against your Special Olympics registration instead.
Your qualifying total
It must be from an IPF-sanctioned competition. Your qualifying total has to have been achieved at a competition sanctioned by the IPF — a British Powerlifting event, or a meet run by another IPF member federation — within the qualifying window. Gym lifts, training maxes and unsanctioned meets can't be verified against official results, so they don't count.

The date of that meet — the picker uses your device's date format.

If you have one, paste the link to your OpenPowerlifting page — it's the quickest way for us to check your total. Not everyone has one; leave it blank if you don't.

We check every declared total against official results before ranking. You'll get an email when yours is verified.
Your profile (optional)

A little about you for your public lifter profile. All optional — and only shown on the nomination list if you earn a place. Skip anything you'd rather not share.

A head-and-shoulders photo works best. JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB — we tidy it into a neat portrait crop for you.

Shown under your name on your profile. Leave blank to hide it.

Have fun with it — this is the bit people share.

Social channels

Just your handle (e.g. @yourname) or a full link — whichever's easier.

Parent / guardian (only if you're under 18)

If you'll be under 18 on the competition date, your guardian confirms the entry and the invoice is addressed to them.

Help out (optional)

Competitions run on volunteers. Tick anything you'd consider — nothing is shared unless you choose the last box.

Public listing & consent

This competition publishes a live entry list: from the moment you register, your name (or initials), weight class, declared total and entry status appear on the competition page, alongside everyone else in the running — and again on the nomination list once you've a confirmed place. No payment details, email, date of birth or membership number are ever shown publicly, and if you withdraw you're removed from the list.

Terms, policies & your data

Registering interest doesn't guarantee a place. This form is an expression of interest, not an entry. Whether you're offered a place is decided by the current qualifying and selection procedures for this competition — including verifying your total, weight-class limits and ranking — and places are limited. You may or may not be offered one, and we'll let you know either way by email.

How we use your information. We collect the details on this form to process your entry — to verify your total, rank places, contact you, and (if you earn a place) invoice you and publish the nomination list. If you add a photo or profile details they're used only for your public lifter profile. For under-18s we also use the guardian details you give. Your information is held by British Powerlifting and shared only where needed to run the competition (for example our invoicing system) — it is never sold. We keep it for as long as we need it for this competition and our records. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw, at any time. Full detail is in British Powerlifting's privacy notice.

British Powerlifting policies. Competing at a British Powerlifting event means agreeing to abide by its rules and policies, including anti-doping, safeguarding, and the complaints & disciplinary policy. You'll find these and the rest on the policy documents page.

No payment now. Nomination lists are public (name or initials, class, total) — under-18s are always listed by first initial and surname.
