Request dispensation

SBD British Open Championships

If circumstances outside your control stopped you getting a qualifying total, or stopped you competing at the championship you needed to enter, you can ask for dispensation. Tell us what happened and attach your evidence — the more complete your request, the faster the panel can decide it.

Requests are decided by the Dispensation Panel — the Performance Director, the British Powerlifting CEO and an Independent Director. Everything here is judged against the Dispensation Policy (April 2024) ↗.

Before you start. A granted dispensation does not cover your fees. If your request is approved you still pay the championship entry fee and the anti-doping fee in the usual way. The panel's decision is final — the policy provides no appeal route.
